Transient Spaces is a digital photography series created to capture people within their homes in a place of comfort while projecting a camera obscura of the space outside them, onto them. Within the photographs lies the confinement many find within the long winter months and how two spaces are able to interact with one another without physical contact. In a poetic sense the world outside is able to go on without them, the people that walk past or a car that speeds by are captured and projected onto the subjects wall above them, leaving the viewer with only a illusion that there is more going on outside than within. The projection on the wall is a fleeting glimpse of the outside world, only successfully visible, but short lived when the outside natural light is strongest in the day.
